A STUDY IN CHARACTER
A place.A feeling.Two expressions.
Born from a childhood home in Ilorin.
Two expressions of a deeply personal welcome.
A LASTING IMPRESSION.
ILORIN. A MOTHER. A HOME.
The story behind the nameBefore it was a place,
it was a name.
Lara is the founder’s mother’s middle name. A name nobody called her, yet one that held something quietly unfamiliar. When he began reimagining his childhood home in Ilorin as a place for guests, that name found its place.
“They’re for strangers with whom I want to share little pieces of my home. The warmth. The colours. The texture.”

A living room, remembered.
The vibrant colours of the late ’90s and early 2000s, recalled from the founder’s childhood home.
A familiar texture.
Indigenous South-Western art on the walls and surfaces of the home he remembers.
A sense of Ilorin.
The intricate, evocative textile works that lined the city’s streets, recalled in the founder’s story.

THE FOUNDER · IN HIS OWN WORDS
THE STARTING POINT
A shared spirit.
Two ways to express it.
An identity to feel
at home in.
Both directions begin with the same intention: sharing a personal reimagination of home. Colour, art, and tactile detail give that intention a setting; the wordmark gives it a distinct voice.
THE TWO, TOGETHER
A closer considerationSame name.
Different character.
Take a moment with both. Change the canvas, explore the scale, then see how each identity lives in the hotel.
A FLEXIBLE SIGNATURE
LARÁ can stand on its own. The “BY REDHORN” lockup offers a second signature for selected touchpoints, such as arrival signage or a formal introduction to the hotel. More personal moments can carry LARÁ alone.
Proposed use · The endorsement is optional across both directions. From mark to moment.
Illustrative applications · Compare the feeling, materials, and presence of each direction.
